I produce radio documentary dramas in English and German. I’ve spent much of my life working as a radio and print journalist and as a UN public affairs official. I have lived and worked all around but I consider my beat to be West and Central Africa. I am currently based in Ghana.
In the 1990s I was based in Senegal as a BBC and NPR correspondent and wrote for such print media as Newsweek, Fortune magazine and the New York Times. In 1994, I co-authored the book “Invisible Governance” which is also the name of my current radio project.
Australia is where I was born and New York is where I grew up. I recently became a German.
This project will explore why the health situation in Jamestown, the historic port of Ghana's capital Accra, is not improving despite multiple efforts.
