Julia Gross works as a freelance science journalist and as a business editor in Munich. She studied biochemistry and journalism at the Universities of Bochum, Cape Town and Mainz and spent two years as a freelance science correspondent for German newspapers in Los Angeles.
She received the BIO Award 2008 and the Demenz Award 2014. In 2010 Julia was selected for the Marine Biology Laboratory Polar Fellowship Program.
