Sascha Montag

Born in 1975 in Halle / Saale. After school I went over a year across the globe. After that, I trained as a social worker and worked in various youth welfare projects in Berlin.

Incidentally developed more and more the passion to capture social stories with the camera. The necessary technology I acquired over the years as an autodidact to (and do that still). In 2002 I worked as a freelance photographer for the German Press Agency, dpa and since the end of 2008 I´m a member off the agency Zeitenspiegel.

So far I've worked for Der Spiegel, Stern, Die Zeit, NZZaS, SZ and many others. I also worked for NGOs such as Bread for the World, Terre des Hommes, UNICEF and Pro Asyl.
