Most people in rural Africa do not have access to proper healthcare. Hospitals in remote areas are poorly equipped and lack well trained doctors and medical specialists, while mobile and satellite networks nowadays provide communication across physical and political borders. The story will look at how telemedicine can mitigate the lack of medical expertise by connecting local health stations with medical experts both within a country and around the world.
