Sierra Leone is one of the poorest countries in the world, its youth deeply affected by disaster. The countries future lies in the hands of former child soldiers and ebola orphans, who encountered toxic stress and traumatic experiences during their childhood developement, leaving some of them mentally ill without professional help. Still, there's hope, since one must not underestimate resilience in children - which makes Sierra Leone's youth more than just a lost generation.
