The recent Ebola outbreak in the Équateur province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo set off an international alarm because the deadly epidemic quickly reached a city of a million inhabitants. Despite enormous logistical challenges and a complicated socio-cultural context, the infectious disease was swiftly stopped and a greater catastrophe prevented. The journalists will track down and report what made the public health response so successful, and why it is so difficult in North Kivu.
